Baby Boy Update

Hey everyone! As you know, my baby boy Nolan was recently born and today we went in for his first checkup. Since he was born at home, the doctors wanted to check him out. Anyway, Jaspy and I arrived at our appointment 20 minutes early. All of the sudden, Jaspy jumped over the middle console in the car onto my lap. We furiously made out, and got frisky for about 17.8 minutes before we heard a knock on the car door. I suddenly realized that I was topless! Not sure how that happened, we got so caught up in each other and I was so obsessed with Jasper's body. Obviously I got dressed and got out of the car, only to see a cop waiting for me! He gave me a ticket, for some unknown reason.

We got inside and checked into our room. I had to change into a paper gown, because, as well as Nolan, I was getting checked out. I stripped into just my hot pink lace thong, and put on the gown. Jasper moaned and began to make out with me. He loves my body and tells me when we are together that it's heaven on earth. After that we made out for 8 minutes with his hands up my shirt, Nolan started to cry and ruined the party. He was hungry and was ready to breastfeed. My gown was already off (Jaspy took it off when we got frisky) and I began to breastfeed. Jasper just stared at me, he loves watching me breastfeed. After Nolan finished, he jumped on me again and laid me down on the table. We did our thing, and it felt so good. I know you aren't supposed to make love just after having a baby, but I felt fine! I got my gown back on and Jasper put his pants back on just in time for the doctor to come in.

He took care of Nolan first, and everything was great with him! Then, he checked me and said everything looked good. All of a sudden, he leaned down and kissed me with great passion! I obviously turned away, and Jasper jumped on the doctor and punched him in the gut. The doctor passed out, and I got dressed and Jasper and I ran out of there as fast as we could. I don't know what it is, but apparently I attract a lot of men! Must be my triple E boobs.

Anyway, thanks for reading about my bizarre trip to the doctor and please leave post requests below!

Labor and Delivery Story

Hey everyone! As you can tell from the title of the post, I had my baby boy! He was born on January 3rd at 6:42am. (BTW, the post I posted today I had written before I went into labor, but just got it up today). Now here's the beginning of my LONG labor and delivery story. Happy reading, and enjoy!!

At 4:20am on January 1st, I woke up with terrible contractions. I was in so much pain. I hollered for Jasper (he was in the shower. too bad I couldn't join him), and Jaspy came running. He still had soap in his hair and he didn't even bother to grab a towel because, you know, we are married. I told him what was going on, but I could barely talk. I didn't know what was happening to me. He grabbed me some clothes (I obviously sleep naked) and helped me get dressed. I started timing my contractions and they were 3 minutes apart. I called my midwife and she came over right away. But, before she arrived, Jasper and I made out for what we thought was the last time while pregnant. I just appreciate Jasper and his body so much I can't not kiss him. When the midwife, Cindy, arrived, she ran into the room and immediately ran right back out. WHOOPS Jasper was still naked. He got dressed, and Cindy came back in. She checked me and I was only 1 and a half cm dilated. Disappointed, I laid back onto the bed and labored all day. For lunch, I ate lays chips and orange juice. I wasn't very hungry because I was in so much pain, but at least it made me feel better.

All afternoon I laid on the bed, in horrible pain. Jasper gave me a coconut oil massage, which really helped my back pain. But, I slid off the bed because everything was so slippery from the coconut oil, and I landed on my belly. I immediately started screaming, because the baby was thrashing around and hitting all of my organs. I called for Cindy, and she lifted me back onto the bed, only to herself slip in the coconut oil. It was a crazy half hour! Then, Cindy checked me and said I was 4cm dilated and that the baby was okay. His heart rate was good and he was moving, which meant the fall didn't kill him.

For dinner I had buttered pasta with sea salt and pepper. Jasper fed it to me because I was so tired I couldn't lift my arms. Finally, I fell asleep. Throughout the night my contractions slowed to 8 minutes apart. I slept terribly, but at least I got some sleep. I woke up on January 2nd feeling a little better because Cindy gave me some natural supplements to help with the pain. I labored all day long, and my contractions were about 2 minutes apart for the majority of the day. I didn't eat anything all day except for orange juice and vitamin water. The only thing getting me through the day was Jasper. He spent the day laying next to me spooning and massaging me on the bed. My whole body was terribly sore and in unimaginable pain, and his touch soothed me. Cindy was so impressed because she had never seen a more attentive husband. By this time I was 8cm dilated and it was almost time.

Around 9pm, things started to pick up. My pain was so severe that I couldn't talk and I could barely breath. I was 10cm dilated! Finally, it was time!! Or so I thought. I labored all through the night. Around 1am I felt the urge to push. It's a weird feeling, but I was so relieved because I knew it meant that the baby will come soon. Little could I have guessed that it would be 5 hours before I could meet my baby boy. I felt the baby drop into the birth canal around 2am, and from 2-6 I pushed. I obviously pushed in the bath tub, because it helped the pain. Jasper was in the tub with me, rubbing my back and whispering love messages in my ear. It really calmed me down. I screamed so much from the pain, but finally the baby was crowing. Cindy helped me deliver, as did Jaspy. Once he was out, he was immediately given to me. I snuggled my baby boy and laid back in the tub. I was so happy! Jasper and I made out because we were so in love with each other and in love with our new baby. Too bad we couldn't do anything else! After a few minutes, Jasper and Cindy helped carry me to the bed. Once we were on the bed, Jasper cut the umbilical cord and I delivered the placenta. Once all was taken care of, I cleaned myself and the baby up and got some clothes on. I laid back down with my baby, and immediately placed him under my shirt for skin to skin. Skin to skin is so important to help my baby feel safe. I breastfeed him and I was in heaven. Not sure what I'll do with two kids breastfeeding, but I guess I'll figure it out!

After a few hours, my mom, dad, siblings, and Kate and Jackson came over. Kate absolutely loved her baby brother, and she actually came up with the name! The newest member of the Davis family is Nolan Joseph Davis. Nolan is named after my grandfather, and Joseph is named after the father of our heavenly father, lord, and savior, Jesus Christ. We passed around Nolan for a while, until he needed to be fed again.

The rest of yesterday and all of today have been just heaven. Jasper and I have both taken off work, and have just relaxed. We have been doing a lot of skin to skin as a family, and I have enjoyed breastfeeding little Nolan. Jasper's parents are watching Kate and Jackson, so Jasper and I can have alone time to bond with Nolan. Kate and Jackson are actually coming back home tomorrow. They have visited us today, though, since Jaspy's parents live just down the street.

I can't even express how blessed and happy I feel. Even though my labor was difficult, I have a happy and healthy baby boy. I can't express how much love I feel for my family and I want to thank you guys for reading and sharing this special time with me. Please leave post requests below :)

Life Update

Hey everyone! Its been two and a half years since my last blog post, and oh my so much has happened. First, I'll give up an update on every one's ages.

I am now 23 years old and a magazine editing advisor. I work 4 hours a day from home. Basically I work on layout of the magazine and edit articles. My sexy husband, Jasper, is 24 years old. We are happily married, and our 3 year anniversary was in October. Every day with Jaspy just gets better, and I still can't control myself around him. He works as a marketing agent 12 hours a day. It's definitely hard having him gone for so long, but distance makes the heart grow fonder.

My daughter Kate turned 4 years old in November. I can't believe how big she is getting! I love her so much and I love watching her personality develop. My son Jackson is 2 and a half, and he loves playing with his big sister! I love how they are so close in age. Jackson is still breastfeeding, which may sound unusual to some of you. It's especially difficult in public when I whip out the boob. I can definitely see people judging me for doing what's best for my baby. In case you are wondering, Jasper is fully supportive of my decision. I think it's just because he likes seeing my boobs. I believe that breastfeeding for as long as possible is best for the baby, or in this case, toddler. If he is still on the boob by 3, I will definitely cut him off. Don't worry, I'm not creepy! ;)

We are still living in California. I am and always will be a Cali girl! My parents live an hour north from us, so they love to help out with Kate and Jackson. Jasper's parents moved to Cali after his brother, Emmett, died from cancer last year. They actually live just down the street from us!

Oh, I almost forgot! I am currently 39 weeks pregnant and could pop any day now. I am definitely ready to give birth, because I am sick and tired of my body aching. Also, it's hard for Jaspy and I to be together because the belly always gets in the way. We found out that the baby is another boy! Jasper is super excited to have another son, and so am I.

I hope you guys liked this post, and I am so extremely excited to be back! Blogging is an outlet for me, and I love writing and communicating with you guys. Please comment post requests below, and thanks for reading :)

Baby Boy | Life Update

Hey everyone, long time no post! The last time I talked to you it was April 30th and I was anxiously waiting for my baby. I had contractions the 30th and the 1st of May, and my induction was scheduled May 2nd. My mom came to our house around 4:30am and we left for the hospital and arrived at 5am. The actual induction occurred at 10am. Apparently I was already dilated to 2cm when I arrived, so my doctor, Dr. Susco, thought that labor would go by fast. Boy was she wrong! All day I was struggling through terrible contractions. They were painful but I wasn't progressing much, if at all. By 4pm I had dilated to a 3cm. Dr. Susco was concerned, and upped the pitosin. By late evening I was still at 3cm. Dr. Susco was constantly checking on the baby, and she said everything was perfect with the baby and that it was safe for me to keep laboring, if I wished. I, of course, wanted to because I wanted to experience having a baby instead of just having him/her cut out of me. I slept maybe 4 hours that night on and off, and woke up 6cm. Finally I was getting somewhere! Dr. Susco upped the pitosin again at 10am, after 24 hours of hard, tough labor. The contractions started to get even more painful and I was feeling urges to push. I was checked and I was 9.5cm! I had progressed 3.5cm in just an hour! The nurses started to rush around getting everything ready, and I called my mom to head on down to the hospital. She dropped Kate off at my aunt's house on the way. About half an hour ready, my mom arrived just in time for my baby to see my baby be born! I pushed for about 40 minutes, and out came Jackson Kyle at 12:16pm on May 3rd, weighing in at an astounding 9 pounds 8 ounces! Jackson was a chunk! Everything with the birth went smoothly, and I didn't get an epidural. Jackson was healthy and we came home from the hospital a few days later.

Life has been so busy with a newborn! Jackson needs me 24/7. I am breastfeeding him and plan to continue to exclusively breastfeed up to 6 months. He is a pro with nursing and loves to eat! He has gained just over 3 pounds since birth. He is a still such a chunk! Kate is now 1 1/2 and loves her little brother! She shares her toys with him and always tells me what he is doing and when he cries. I love my kids so much and wouldn't change anything for the world!

Jasper still works full time, 12 hours a day. I have recently become an editing advisor for a local baking magazine, Blessed Bakers. Posts are sent to me to be edited and then I sent them to my supervisor. I love my job! I only have to log 4 hours a day, which is usually when Kate and Jackson are napping, or at night when they are asleep. I will continue to post more regularly now that my life is under control again! :)

Still Pregnant!

Sadly to say, I am still pregnant! I was due Friday, and it's Wednesday so I am 5 days overdue. My doctor says that it would be best if I didn't go past 41 weeks. My mother was pregnant and her uterus was smaller than normal, and they let her go until 43 weeks and the baby went into stress and came out a stillbirth. Since I most likely have a smaller than average uterus like my mom, it would be safer for me to have this baby sooner than later!

My wish would be to have a natural labor, but my induction is scheduled for this Friday, May 2nd. I am scheduled to get to the hospital at 7am, which means we have to leave the house at 5am. Kate will be going with my parents, they are staying at our house with her. I'm so thankful that I have family willing to help me out! The actual induction will happen probably around 10am they told me, maybe earlier if possible. I am planning on not getting an epidural, I know that it will obviously be painful, but I know that if I believe I can do it, I will be able to handle the pain! Jaspy completely supports my decision. He has a plan to distract me, mostly consisting of making out and getting frisky the whole time! In case you didn't know, sex can help bring on labor, so that is all Jaspy and I have been doing this past week! I am thinking that it is working, because this morning I woke up with light contractions, not painful though. I am thinking Braxton Hicks, but I'm hoping I'll have this baby soon :)

Long Time No See!

Hello everyone, I haven't posted since October. This morning I woke up and decided that I wanted to start my blog again, so since Kate is down for her 2nd nap I have time to post!

Life has been so crazy! I love my life, even though it is ridiculous how busy I am. Kate will be a year and a half in June, I remember when we first adopted she was only 9 months! Crazy how fast time flies, right? I love her to death and can't imagine my life without her. My days have been spent playing with Kate and spending time with her, and working! Kate is doing great, she is talking now and eating all of the time! She is turning into a chunky toddler :)

Work has also been good! In October, I told you that I worked online as a website manager and had to log 4 hours a day. Now, I work a full 8 hours a day! It's hard to manage but worth it, because we need the money. I wake up at 7am every morning and work for about an hour and a half before Kate wakes up. She takes 3 naps a day, each one 2 hours long. I work during 2 of her naps, that's another 4 hours. After she goes to sleep at 8, I work for another 2 and a half hours! That is my rough schedule, every day is different but this is what I try to stick to.

Also, in case you forgot, I am pregnant! I remember when I posted my last post, I was 14 weeks pregnant. I thought the end would never come! But now, I am 39 weeks and 1 day pregnant! My due date is April 25th, which is this coming Friday! I am so excited to meet my baby boy.We found out the gender at 18 weeks, and we were so happy that it was a boy! I have always wanted a baby boy, and so has my husband. It will be so great for Kate to have a baby brother to play with that is very close to her age! I'm sure it will be hard to adjust and for her to understand why their is another baby in the house and why she isn't getting my full attention anymore, but it will all turn out okay in the end :)

My husband, Jasper, and I have been doing well! We got married in September, our 6 month anniversary was a few weeks ago! I love Jasper, and he loves me. He works a full 12 hours per day, 6-6, but always spends time with Kate and I every evening and on the weekends. He loves being a dad and he is so excited for another little baby! Our love life is going amazing, in case you don't remember Jaspy and I love to get frisky! We make out on the couch eating orange juice every night, and of course make love in our bed every night and give each other full body lotion massages.

I will continue to update to the best of my ability, but if you would like more frequent updates check out my facebook page basicbrielle.facebook.com and my tumblr, brielleandjaspyforever.instagram.com!

Update!

Hey everyone, long time no post! I've been super busy, what with morning sickness (I'll talk more about my pregnancy later), taking care of Kate, and working on my new job!

First things first, I finally got a new job! I manage an online website, taking care of little issues that come up and such. I get all of the emails, complaints or compliments, which is stressful taking time to reply to everything. I also get articles sent in for the website (beauty website) which I have to edit and make them the best they can be before sending them to my manager. If she approves, I have to forward it to the website editor who will actually post it, and I have to send out an email to all of the subscribers saying that something new has been posted. It's not the hardest job, it just has a lot of details to manage which I am pretty good at! The best thing is that it is a very flexible position! I have to log 4 hours a day in, which isn't hard at all because Kate naps a lot, plus she goes to bed early! I love my new job because I don't need a college education! I do plan on furthering my college career, but I have changed my interests, I want to get a degree in nursing! Not necessarily the kind of nurse you see at the doctors office for a check up, but a maternity nurse! I love babies, and I love pregnancies, so I think it would be a great career option for me. I plan to start classes in the next few weeks, just a few online classes, nothing major! I don't care how long this takes me, it's what I want to do! I don't want to start right now anyway, I'm happy with my current job and want to spend time with my babies. (future and present)

Now for my pregnancy update! I am 14 weeks exactly as of today! I am really excited, I am almost half way through this pregnancy, and it has gone by so fast! I am officially in the second trimester! I am starting to feel more pregnant, I have a little baby bump :) It's not huge, but it's definitely noticeable without a shirt on. I still fit into my normal tops, but I have switched in maternity jeans because my little bump is really low and my regular jeans are so uncomfortable. I'm sure it's going to get much worse though, so I really shouldn't complain! I've also had really bad morning sickness, if I don't eat something right when I wake up, I will tend to be nauseas all morning and it's really miserable. I've just gotten into the habit of feeding Kate and then eating immediately after. It has been fading though, I've heard its worse in your first trimester! I also have really bad low back pain, and I've been so tired no matter how much sleep I get! In case I didn't mention it before, I'm due on April 25, 2014! I'm really excited, but yet I want to drag this pregnancy out as much as I can because I love it so much :)

Kate is also doing amazing! She is almost 11 months, her birthday is December 2nd. We adopted September 2nd, so it's been almost 2 months! I can't imagine life without her, it's been so hectic but I wouldn't change it for the world! Kate is on a schedule, she naps 2-3 times a day and eats 3 meals a day with many snacks in between! She loves food, I never did formula because it would be too much a hassle and she was 9 months when we got her! We read stories at 7:30, and she goes to bed by 8! She usually wakes up around 9. Kate loves to play, she is such a verbal baby! She hasn't said her first word yet, but I can tell she is getting very close! She screeches and points when she wants things, and cries rarely. I am almost always able to tell what she wants, because of her ability to point  and grab. Kate is standing, she started to stand a few weeks after we got her, and now she can walk a few steps without help! She hasn't fully mastered walking yet, but I'm sure by the time she is a year she will be walking and saying a few words. I am so excited for her to grow up and experience new things, but in the same way I never want her to get bigger!

Jasper is the same as always, I love him to death and he loves me right back. We are so happy together, our relationship as a married couple is better than ever. He loves Kate as much as I do, and always plays with her when he gets home from work! He works 6am-6pm, a full 12 hours with a half hour lunch break! He spends most of his evening playing with Kate, and then with me once she goes to sleep. The only good thing about him working so much during the day is that he rarely brings work home with him! It's great, so at home he can focus on me and Kate, and of course his little baby :) Technically, it's not his biological baby in my belly, but it's close enough ;) Anyway, I am really happy with the way my life has been turning out, I'm happier than ever and promise to keep you all updated :D
