Hey everyone, long time no post! The last time I talked to you it was April 30th and I was anxiously waiting for my baby. I had contractions the 30th and the 1st of May, and my induction was scheduled May 2nd. My mom came to our house around 4:30am and we left for the hospital and arrived at 5am. The actual induction occurred at 10am. Apparently I was already dilated to 2cm when I arrived, so my doctor, Dr. Susco, thought that labor would go by fast. Boy was she wrong! All day I was struggling through terrible contractions. They were painful but I wasn't progressing much, if at all. By 4pm I had dilated to a 3cm. Dr. Susco was concerned, and upped the pitosin. By late evening I was still at 3cm. Dr. Susco was constantly checking on the baby, and she said everything was perfect with the baby and that it was safe for me to keep laboring, if I wished. I, of course, wanted to because I wanted to experience having a baby instead of just having him/her cut out of me. I slept maybe 4 hours that night on and off, and woke up 6cm. Finally I was getting somewhere! Dr. Susco upped the pitosin again at 10am, after 24 hours of hard, tough labor. The contractions started to get even more painful and I was feeling urges to push. I was checked and I was 9.5cm! I had progressed 3.5cm in just an hour! The nurses started to rush around getting everything ready, and I called my mom to head on down to the hospital. She dropped Kate off at my aunt's house on the way. About half an hour ready, my mom arrived just in time for my baby to see my baby be born! I pushed for about 40 minutes, and out came Jackson Kyle at 12:16pm on May 3rd, weighing in at an astounding 9 pounds 8 ounces! Jackson was a chunk! Everything with the birth went smoothly, and I didn't get an epidural. Jackson was healthy and we came home from the hospital a few days later.
Life has been so busy with a newborn! Jackson needs me 24/7. I am breastfeeding him and plan to continue to exclusively breastfeed up to 6 months. He is a pro with nursing and loves to eat! He has gained just over 3 pounds since birth. He is a still such a chunk! Kate is now 1 1/2 and loves her little brother! She shares her toys with him and always tells me what he is doing and when he cries. I love my kids so much and wouldn't change anything for the world!
Jasper still works full time, 12 hours a day. I have recently become an editing advisor for a local baking magazine, Blessed Bakers. Posts are sent to me to be edited and then I sent them to my supervisor. I love my job! I only have to log 4 hours a day, which is usually when Kate and Jackson are napping, or at night when they are asleep. I will continue to post more regularly now that my life is under control again! :)

Still Pregnant!
Sadly to say, I am still pregnant! I was due Friday, and it's Wednesday so I am 5 days overdue. My doctor says that it would be best if I didn't go past 41 weeks. My mother was pregnant and her uterus was smaller than normal, and they let her go until 43 weeks and the baby went into stress and came out a stillbirth. Since I most likely have a smaller than average uterus like my mom, it would be safer for me to have this baby sooner than later!
My wish would be to have a natural labor, but my induction is scheduled for this Friday, May 2nd. I am scheduled to get to the hospital at 7am, which means we have to leave the house at 5am. Kate will be going with my parents, they are staying at our house with her. I'm so thankful that I have family willing to help me out! The actual induction will happen probably around 10am they told me, maybe earlier if possible. I am planning on not getting an epidural, I know that it will obviously be painful, but I know that if I believe I can do it, I will be able to handle the pain! Jaspy completely supports my decision. He has a plan to distract me, mostly consisting of making out and getting frisky the whole time! In case you didn't know, sex can help bring on labor, so that is all Jaspy and I have been doing this past week! I am thinking that it is working, because this morning I woke up with light contractions, not painful though. I am thinking Braxton Hicks, but I'm hoping I'll have this baby soon :)

Long Time No See!
Hello everyone, I haven't posted since October. This morning I woke up and decided that I wanted to start my blog again, so since Kate is down for her 2nd nap I have time to post!
Life has been so crazy! I love my life, even though it is ridiculous how busy I am. Kate will be a year and a half in June, I remember when we first adopted she was only 9 months! Crazy how fast time flies, right? I love her to death and can't imagine my life without her. My days have been spent playing with Kate and spending time with her, and working! Kate is doing great, she is talking now and eating all of the time! She is turning into a chunky toddler :)
Work has also been good! In October, I told you that I worked online as a website manager and had to log 4 hours a day. Now, I work a full 8 hours a day! It's hard to manage but worth it, because we need the money. I wake up at 7am every morning and work for about an hour and a half before Kate wakes up. She takes 3 naps a day, each one 2 hours long. I work during 2 of her naps, that's another 4 hours. After she goes to sleep at 8, I work for another 2 and a half hours! That is my rough schedule, every day is different but this is what I try to stick to.
Also, in case you forgot, I am pregnant! I remember when I posted my last post, I was 14 weeks pregnant. I thought the end would never come! But now, I am 39 weeks and 1 day pregnant! My due date is April 25th, which is this coming Friday! I am so excited to meet my baby boy.We found out the gender at 18 weeks, and we were so happy that it was a boy! I have always wanted a baby boy, and so has my husband. It will be so great for Kate to have a baby brother to play with that is very close to her age! I'm sure it will be hard to adjust and for her to understand why their is another baby in the house and why she isn't getting my full attention anymore, but it will all turn out okay in the end :)
My husband, Jasper, and I have been doing well! We got married in September, our 6 month anniversary was a few weeks ago! I love Jasper, and he loves me. He works a full 12 hours per day, 6-6, but always spends time with Kate and I every evening and on the weekends. He loves being a dad and he is so excited for another little baby! Our love life is going amazing, in case you don't remember Jaspy and I love to get frisky! We make out on the couch eating orange juice every night, and of course make love in our bed every night and give each other full body lotion massages.
I will continue to update to the best of my ability, but if you would like more frequent updates check out my facebook page basicbrielle.facebook.com and my tumblr, brielleandjaspyforever.instagram.com!
